Google Search, NotebookLM, and Google Photos platforms are starting to gain new features based on the company’s popular image generation tool, Nano Banana.
Google, which recently integrated the Veo 3 video creation tool into the Photos app, is now starting to offer its popular Nano Banana image generation tool. Nano Banana is gradually being introduced to services such as Google Search, NotebookLM, and Google Photos.
Nano Banana is Becoming Widespread
One of the most notable innovations of the Nano Banana tool has been introduced in the NotebookLM application. The Video Summaries feature, which allows the app to automatically create narrated explanatory videos from documents, is being completely transformed based on Nano Banana. Users can now create videos in six different new styles, such as watercolor and anime. Furthermore, the system can generate contextual illustrations from the source documents, and it becomes possible to create short videos called Presentations. The new Nano Banana-powered version is rolling out to Pro users this week and will be available to all users within a few weeks.
On the other hand, the Google Search platform is also gaining Nano Banana integration. Users can directly generate and edit images with chat commands or convert the image to a different art style while within a search. Additionally, photos taken with Google Lens can be edited through the same system. This feature is currently available in English in the US and will soon be expanded to other countries and languages.
The integration into the Google Photos application has not been clearly announced, but it is predicted that the ability to edit photos or convert them to different styles using Nano Banana will be offered. Thus, editing with Nano Banana and converting to video with Google Veo 3 will be possible.
